MICHELE GORMAN

"Can the curvy girls have their cake and eat it?
Meet best friends Pixie, Ellie, Katie and Jane. Fed up with always struggling to lose weight, they start a social club where size doesn’t matter. Soon it’s the most popular place to be – having fun instead of counting carbs. And the girls suddenly find their lives changing in ways they never imagined.
But outside the club, things aren’t as rosy, as they struggle with the ups and downs of everyday life."
It's good but not really my type of book. But I don't regret reading it.

GRAEME SIMSION

"Don Tillman, professor of genetics, has never been on a second date. He is a man who can count all his friends on the fingers of one hand, whose lifelong difficulty with social rituals has convinced him that he is simply not wired for romance. So when an acquaintance informs him that he would make a “wonderful” husband, his first reaction is shock. Yet he must concede to the statistical probability that there is someone for everyone, and he embarks upon The Wife Project. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which he approaches all things, Don sets out to find the perfect partner. She will be punctual and logical—most definitely not a barmaid, a smoker, a drinker, or a late-arriver.

Yet Rosie Jarman is all these things. She is also beguiling, fiery, intelligent—and on a quest of her own. She is looking for her biological father, a search that a certain DNA expert might be able to help her with. Don's Wife Project takes a back burner to the Father Project and an unlikely relationship blooms, forcing the scientifically minded geneticist to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie—and the realization that love is not always what looks good on paper."

It's a hilarious, feel-good book! Definitely give it a try. You will laugh and have a good time. I have to admit; there was a few times I wanted to kick Don, but you still can't help falling for him.

JOJO MOYES

"Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.
What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.
Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.
What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time."
"Romantic, thought-provoking tear-jerker than you won’t be able to put down." - WOMEN AND HOME UK
"A poignant story of loss and love… another heartstoppingly brilliant novel from Jojo Moyes… Absolutely lovely." - MARIE CLARE UK
I'm just gonna say one thing; READ IT!!

MAJ LUNDGREN

HJÄRTAT FORTSÄTTER ATT SLÅ
This book is written by a swedish author only 13 years old. I bought it in the most lovely bookstore in Söderköping. To bad I probably won't go there again, but I do hope I'll end up there sometimes in the future. The book it's very small, just around 150 pages - if I remember right - and it's as big as my hand. So very small and you'll finish it in about 30-40 minutes. It's such a sweet story about two teenagers finding each other for support among betrayals and losing people close to you.

JOHN GREEN

AN ABUNDANCE OF KATHERINES

Okay so I'm not going to write my own thoughts on this one 'cause I found someone describing it very well - here.

Is based around Colin: a child prodigy and a wannabe genius, who only seems to want to date girls named Katherine. However, each Katherine he has ever dated has dumped him, or so he believes. Heartbroken by being dumped by K-19 (Katherine number 19), his best friend Hassan plans a road trip which will change Colin's whole outlook on love, relationships and life.

In this book, I really liked how Colin's first intentions for going on a road trip was for him to find his 'Eureka moment' which would prove to people that he really was a true genius. But as the story progressed he started to change and become a better person. He began to realize that the world wasn't revolved around him and he had to be there for the people who cared about him, even if it meant being stung by a swarm of hornets to protect Hassan. Finally, what I loved most was that at the end when Colin learned he didn't need a Katherine or theory to be happy.

Although I thought it had a great plot, it would not be very appealing to someone who gets confused with the simplest equations in Mathematics as the novel does include a rather complicated theorem which is to show how long a relationship will last. Luckily if you really wanted you could skip them out, but to me it makes it more realistic.

Overall I really enjoyed the book because it was like I was having a life lesson! Colin's theory would only reveal the past and it could not show the future, so we learn that we don't know who we will become, as the future is unpredictable and we are always changing.

J. COURTNEY SULLIVAN

COMMENCEMENT

I bought this book at a second hand store in Söderköping. Got it for like 5 kr if I'm not mistaking. Since it was only 5 kr I don't regret buying it. But it was sadly not for me. I had to force myself to finish it (allthough I did skip huge parts in it). I don't have to read it ofc but I kind of like knowing that I have read the whole book anyway, or tried reading the whole book. It was just not for me. I barely remember anything in the book either and I read in between nov-dec last year. So it's not long ago at all. But well, well. Not every book is for you.

JOHN GREEN

THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

I saw the movie before I read the book. But without the movie I probably wouldn't have found out about John Green in quite a while. The movie was great and I do recommend it to everyone! And the book I definitely recommend without a doubt to everyone! It's such a lovely story and you will fall in love with the male character - Augustus Waters. Everyone falls for him, with good reasons. It's a story about a girl - Hazel Grace - who has cancer and the friendship she makes with Augustus. It's really sweet and heartbreaking. If you have a soft heart (like me) you will cry and be heartbroken while reading it.
Borrow/buy and read! You'll not regret it!

PAPER TOWNS

So the name Margo Roth Spielgelman I don't want to hear anymore. But I really loved the conversations and the relationship between Quentin and his friend. Really enjoyed that. It was a bit hard for me to get into the book in the beginning but the middle was great and I enjoyed it as well towards the end. I thought the ending was good but could maybe have been a little bit better. Allthough I don't say that I could have made it better, just that it could have been a little bit different. Overall a good book.

"Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs into his life—dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows. After their all-nighter ends, and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues—and they're for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew..."

THE BEST THING THAT NEVER HAPPENED TO ME

Bought this book a few days ago and finished it on tuesday (could have finished it earlier but I didn't want to finish it after just two days). Been reading it when I was at my brothers and then on the airplane. It was so good and I really enjoyed reading it. I good a good surprise 'cause after just have read the prolouge (that's 1 ½ page) and one page in Chapter 1 I was stuck and wanted to keep reading. Usually it takes me some pages to get into the book. Such a nice surprise. This book is worth reading!

I really fancy the front cover and the fact that it's written by two persons. Always been wondering how that would be. You can't just write whatever you like then. But after reading this book I've realized it can turn out sooo flipping great!

I'll write down the back of the book for you.

"Everyone remembers their first love.Holly has learnt that life isn't about seizing the moment. She might have harboured dreams about travelling the world as a teenager, but she let go of those - just as she let go of Alex.

But what if the feeling never really went away?Alex want to make every moment of his new job count. It's a fresh start in a new city, and he knows that moving to London has nothing to do with Holly. Well, probably.

How do you know if it was meant to be ... or never meant to happen at all?"

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

Got the idea from Carrie Hope Fletcher. She read this year 22 books, because that was how old she would become this year. I liked that idea so I'm going to have that for next year.
So I have a few resolutions during 2015:
  • Read at least 21 books
  • Have fun
  • See Anni
  • Buy books
I think I'll manage thoose without any problem. It always feel better when you can manage to keep the resolution when they actually are things that are sustainable over a year and are fun. Not on the "I Have To Do List". Something that will make you feel good and not bad over. For me it has always become something of bad joke. So last year I had none but ended up deciding to have this year and ONLY fun things. And things that are not hard for me to keep.

I'm not sure how many books I've read during this year, but I have a few books that I want to read during 2015.
  • The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
  • All I Know Now: Wonderings and Reflections On Growing Up Gracefully - Carrie Hope Fletcher
  • Looking For Alaska - John Green
  • One Million Lovely Letters - Jodi Ann Bickley
  • Dead Silence - Kimberly Derting
  • The Last Echo - Kimberly Derting
  • Desires Of The Dead - Kimberly Derting
  • Me Before You - Jojo Moyes
  • Dream A Little Dream - Giovanna Fletcher (!!!!)

Giovanna Fletcher is gonna release a new book! That's AMAZING! The 18th of June I will be able to buy it!! I'm quite sure I'll pre order it. Okay I'm 100% sure I'll pre order it. Can't wait to have it in my G.F collection!

IT'S GROWING - 39 DAYS LEFT

When I was away this week and we were on our way back home from Stockholm we stoped by Söderköping (I've never been there but o my it's was so cozy! Will it surprise you if I say that we went into second hand stores? Didn't think so. I ended up buying a few books and one of them was in english! Yay! I don't know if I have said this before but I like reading books in english and prefer to have the books in english. Except, ofc, if the author is from Sweden. Then it's better in swedish. So I found a few from Camilla Läckberg. She's a swedish author who writes really good criminal books. I've read a few and came across three books for the price of 10 kr. That's so cheap! Love it!
The book in english is called Commencement and writen by J. Courtney Sullivan. I was actually looking for books not so long ago and saw this one. I decided not to put it on my "Book List" (yes I do have a list of books that I want and it's HUGE, might share it some day) 'cause I... I don't know. However I didn't and now I found it in a second hand store for only 5 kr! Man, that feels nice!

No, I don't have the candle their usually. Don't want my books to burn up. Not the house either btw. I just thought it looked good for the picture. Wow, Sofie you're such a photographer..

Found in a bag (it feels like I'm finding a lot of stuff now a days.. oupsiee) this book "Nu Är Det Jul Igen" and I got so nostalgic 'cause I read it a lot when I was a kid. Fitted perfect next to my advent candlestick! Christmas spirit here I come!

A while ago I said that I will put in the title how many days it was left for Christmas, on every post. As you noticed, I ended up forgetting it. Will do my best to remember it from now on. It's actually just a little bit over a month left! LOVE IT!

GIOVANNA FLETCHER

Giovanna Fletcher.

This woman really knows how to write. She catches you quickly after just a few pages. Her books are very coozy and not to predictable. What I mean with that is that you can predict a few things but she also knows how to surprise you. It really is one of thoose authors that knows what the readers wants and manage to give them what they want. She is also doing vloggs on youtube, under the name of Giovannasworld. It's always a blast watching them 'cause she is funny and has a lot of humor.. If I ever were to meet her that would be the best!

I only, sadly, have the first book, Billy and Me. But I'm so planning on getting the other ones as well. The latest book of her, Christmas with Billy and Me, is coming out soon! Looking forward to read it and but the book in my nonexisting shelf.
