IIHF! - ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT!

I'VE JUST BOUGHT A TRE KRONOR JERSEY!!! I CAN'T WAIT TILL IT ARRIVES!! I'M SO ECXITED! I chose to buy the one that's a little bit more expensive, but you can put a name and number on the back. So on mine it says 'SWEDEN' and '19'. My lucky number. I've been wanting to buy one for so long and FINALLY I did it. Feels so good!

And people it's only two days left to the World Championship! Two days people! Sweden is going to play their first game on friday against Czech Republic at 7:15pm (UK time). You better watch it 'cause it's going to be good! I really can't wait for it to start!!

To be honest, it's a bit weird that I'm a hockey fan. No one in my family are huge fans and not many of my friends either. (But that means that I can convert them, hehe.) So I don't really know where this fandom comes from. But I don't care. I LOVE HOCKEY anyway.

WHERE DID THE WEEK GO?

I can't believe it's weekend for me already again since it feels like it's tuesday. I'm ofc happy that it's weekend but I wouldn't mind it being in the middle of the week as well, cause then I wouldn't have to think as much as I feel like I will do this weekend. I'm in my "thinking mode" and have been since last weekend, I'm quite over it to be honest. To think to much is not something I'm to fond of, but sadly do way to much. I can't help myself. Every woman out there will know what I'm talking about.
Other then that I'm quite happy that it's weekend. It will be nice to be able to sleep as long as possible in the morning.
This morning I woke up and was dead certain that I had over sleept. So I sit up and put the blind up (and blind myself at the same time..). I take up my phone to look at what time it is and I realise that it's 6:20 am. 6:20!!! I put the blind down and go back to sleep. That was really nice. But I'm very glad I don't have to worry about that tomorrow morning. Or for the next three mornings for that matter. Tomorrow I'm going to sleep for a looong time.

This week has been really warm and all summery. It's been fantastic! I was out today for a few hours in the sun reading my book and falling asleep on the picknik blanket. That was really nice. Allthough maybe not to nice for my pale, freckled skin. But I don't think I've burned myself to bad. This weekend is supposed to be rainy and a bit more chilly. But it does give me a reason to stay in my pj:s and in bed all day whitout feeling guilty wasting a nice day.

I'm watching Pirates Of The Caribbean; Worlds End. Everyone who knows me know that I'm devoted to them. I've watched them way to many times and know most of the lines. But it's sooo good! The music is definitely a part of why I've watched them so many times. Hans Zimmer is simply one of the best music composers ever. He and Howard Shore (LOTR).

IT'S ONLY MY 8TH

Forgot to share my latest piercing with you guys yesterday. This creation happend on friday and I'm really happy I finally dragged my but out to do it and it was really, really cheap! Only £15! When I did my nose ring in october(?) it costed me around £34. If I ever think about taking another one I know where to go. But I feel like I'm done with piercings now. Don't want to be covered in them.
It turned out to be quite and experience to take this one. I almost ended up fainting. Never happend to me before (well, I have fainted but not 'casue of taking a piercing). But I got a lot of water afterwards and a lollipop. So a few minutes later I was ok.

I aslo finally(!) boutght a new, better nose ring. The one that I've had has been a tad to big and it was broken as well. So hopefully it will heal for real now. It's been back and forth all the time. Sometimes it's healed and then I do something and I have to go through the procedure again of healing it.

Did I mention that I've got tickets to go home over Midsummer? I did, sorry. Just had to say it again.
BTW! Today I've been in Scotland for 3 months. 8 months more to go! It's going to pass so fast.

MIDSUMMER IN SWEDEN

I have tickets to go to Sweden over Midsummer. Woho! Really looking forward to this. I'll be leaving in two months. Sorry mum and dad, I will not be at home. You guys still have to wait till the summer before you see me. I will be heading over to my friend and have a blast. I haven't really realised how much I like Midsummer until lately. Can't wait.

I'LL BE STAYING LONGER

I've decided to stay longer here in Scotland. The plan was that I would stay till july-ish but since me and the family are content with eachother (I would say more than content) we both wanted me to stay longer. It took me some time to decide. Which is good then I know I'm not rushing it to it like I always seem to do. So since monday it's been decided. I'm really happy with staying longer and knowing that I'll spend one or two weeks in Sweden in the summer and hopefully a whole week in Finland, finally seeing Anni again. It's been over 8 months since I said goodbye to her and I still miss her as much as I did when I dropped her off at the airport.
This summer is going to be really good. I've not looked forward so much to a summer in a very long time. Like whole heartly looked forward to a summer. I think last time was maybe in 2009? So yeah, I'm quite excited for the summer to come! The first summer I'll be off 2-3 weeks in a row and be able to decide whatever I want to do!

Here are some pictures from the summer 2013 right before I left for the State. It will be nice to be home, without working, in the summer again for a little while.

MICHELE GORMAN

"Can the curvy girls have their cake and eat it?
Meet best friends Pixie, Ellie, Katie and Jane. Fed up with always struggling to lose weight, they start a social club where size doesn’t matter. Soon it’s the most popular place to be – having fun instead of counting carbs. And the girls suddenly find their lives changing in ways they never imagined.
But outside the club, things aren’t as rosy, as they struggle with the ups and downs of everyday life."
It's good but not really my type of book. But I don't regret reading it.

GRAEME SIMSION

"Don Tillman, professor of genetics, has never been on a second date. He is a man who can count all his friends on the fingers of one hand, whose lifelong difficulty with social rituals has convinced him that he is simply not wired for romance. So when an acquaintance informs him that he would make a “wonderful” husband, his first reaction is shock. Yet he must concede to the statistical probability that there is someone for everyone, and he embarks upon The Wife Project. In the orderly, evidence-based manner with which he approaches all things, Don sets out to find the perfect partner. She will be punctual and logical—most definitely not a barmaid, a smoker, a drinker, or a late-arriver.

Yet Rosie Jarman is all these things. She is also beguiling, fiery, intelligent—and on a quest of her own. She is looking for her biological father, a search that a certain DNA expert might be able to help her with. Don's Wife Project takes a back burner to the Father Project and an unlikely relationship blooms, forcing the scientifically minded geneticist to confront the spontaneous whirlwind that is Rosie—and the realization that love is not always what looks good on paper."

It's a hilarious, feel-good book! Definitely give it a try. You will laugh and have a good time. I have to admit; there was a few times I wanted to kick Don, but you still can't help falling for him.

JOJO MOYES

"Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.
What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.
Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.
What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time."
"Romantic, thought-provoking tear-jerker than you won’t be able to put down." - WOMEN AND HOME UK
"A poignant story of loss and love… another heartstoppingly brilliant novel from Jojo Moyes… Absolutely lovely." - MARIE CLARE UK
I'm just gonna say one thing; READ IT!!

TTB, A CHANGE IN PLAN AND EDINBURGH

Sorry, for not writing in a while. As you know my brother has been here and it's been quite an intresting week with some not planned happenings. So I worked last wensday as normal and then on thursday night I woke up a few times by my throat hurting pretty badly. But since the weather was incredible, and this was the only day we could, we walked up The Three Brethren anyways. Well, I convinced Sebastian. It was gorgeous up there! It was warm (like summer) and no wind! So we definitely got warm!

Then on friday we were supposed to have gone up to Edinburgh. Well, that plan changed dramatically. After we came home from TTB I started to shiver and was not able to warm myself up. I was lying in my bed fully clothed under my duvet and trying to spread some heat into my body. It took me a few hours, paracetamol and a shower to manage that task. I'm aware that I had high fever, yes. So the next day was a bed day for me with a throat infection (halsfluss), but I did have to go out of the bed to the hospital to get some antibiotics. It was pretty nasty the whole thing! But, I'm fully recovered now and will finish the eating the pills on friday. Yes!
Sunday to monday was spend in Edinburgh with Sebastian walking around and eating. The weather was fenomenal! Around 15-20 degrees and sun, so basically summer. It will go back to being a bit colder though, but as long as the sun is there I'm fine. And now I'm back to working again which is nice. Don't like being off to long.

TYPICAL SCOTTISH WEATHER

Yesterday I had the most typical Scottish weather since I arrived. I've not seen anything like it.

  • It was windy
  • It was raining
  • It was sleet
  • It was snowing
  • It was hailing
  • It was sunny
  • It was cloudy
  • It was warm
  • It was cold
All of this in just one day. All of it lasted for about 10 minutes each and then it started all over again. What a day. But when I think about it I found it pretty charming in some way.
Also I went for a walk with a friend from church and then afterwards I told her I've always been thinking about making scones but never have and she told me that we could do it if I wanted to, still had a little time before I was to pick up Anita. So off we went and I have now for the first time made scones and they were really good! And also supereasy to make! So I'm definitely doing that again! Looking forward to eating some later on with Sebastian. Yes, my brother arrived yesterday and we're going to make some plans today about his time here.
